Merail Avani is a Dark Elf blacksmith, and the owner of Avani Bladeworks at Artisans' Row in Davon's Watch. According to his son, Arvys, Merail supplies the weapon shops in town with various armaments. Merail's daughter, Durena Avani, owns an armorer stall in the Davon's Watch Market District.

- Merail is alleged to have numerous female admirers in Davon's Watch. Despite this, he mourns his deceased wife and talks to her gravestone at the Akaviri War memorial every evening.
